When the explorers came to the great Rocky Mountains in the New World, they knew a wide ocean lay ahead of them because someone had already accessed this land from the other side of the land mass, but they had no idea what lay between here and there. One by one, they took the risk and traversed the obstructions that lay between them and the expansive Pacific Ocean. After months of struggle they eventually reached the apex of the mountain only to see another wide land mass stretching ahead of them with no idea of how far they still had to travel to reach their desired destination.
Oh how things have evolved for us!! We can now jump on an airplane and go anywhere we choose on the planet in a matter of hours. We’ve explored it, built upon it and reveled in it.
Now that we know what surrounds us, we have new frontiers to explore. . . our internal frontier. In many ways it’s much like the explorer who faced the Great Rocky Mountains for we, too, are surveying a New World.
On occasion, we’ve had glimpses of the expansive cosmos that exists or someone else may have experienced it and reported back to us. But the mind has NO idea what awaits us and therefore, it is working overtime to protect us from the perceived perils of the unknown. Each time we clear the boulders along the path, another “mind” boulder presents itself. Just when it feels like a never ending struggle, there is a cleft in the rocks and we get another glimpse of what lies ahead. So we continue on…..pushing and shoving rocks out of the way.
Then one day we reach a plateau and notice a set of tracks sleuthing through the mountain. Lo and beyond, there’s a train that travels through the next mountain range!!! Glory be!!
That’s where we are today. We’ve traversed the obstacles that separated us from the New World to arrive on the platform of the Angel Express. Oh there are many more glorious mountain ranges ahead of us interspersed with wide open plateaus and sparkling oceans. For this is an infinite expedition without a specific designation. (I thought I typed destination, but I like the word designation much better. I don’t think this was a typo.) If you look at the schedule, you will find as many stops as you choose along the flowing river of life….to meander, experience and savor, all for the price of one ticket. The currency for the Angel Express is Love.
Of course, your options are unlimited. You can still scale the mountain by foot, moving each boulder by yourself if that’s where your joy lies. Or, you can jump on the Angel Express and settle into a cushy feathered seat and enjoy the ride with a crystal chalice of nectar from the Goddess in your hand. The choice is always yours, new and invigorating in each and every moment. Enjoy the journey Beloveds. We will never pass this way again ~
